YOU need the right tools for complicated jobs, particularly in the world of healthcare. But you might not think of computers as having a leading role.

That perception could change under the new City Deal, put forward by Swansea Bay City Region chairman Sir Terry Matthews this week, and a complementary project called Arch.

One of the City Deal's three target subjects is health and wellbeing and, helpfully, Arch — comprising the region's two health boards and Swansea University — is aiming to address that by creating a healthcare system fit for the 21st Century.
