05 Apr 2017 Improvement Science and Research Symposium – debating the grand challenges of improvement science
If you are fortunate enough to be attending the International Forum for Quality & Safety in Healthcare in London later in the month please check out the Improvement Science and Research Symposium happening on Wednesday 26th April. This is a great day to hear from some of the leading improvement scientists such as Professors Mary Dixon-Wood and Eugene Nelson. There are some really exciting posters and abstracts being presented (See http://internationalforum.bmj.com/london/view-programme/) .
In addition, there is a lively debate planned around the grand challenges of improvement science chaired by Lloyd Provost and contributors include Kaveh Shojania and Jospehine Ocloo. Julie Reed and Lloyd Provost will also be holding an interactive session during the main conference on the Frontiers of Improvement Science so please do get involved if you can? Given we have been following the quality improvement agenda now for more than two decades it seems the right time to challenge our thinking in terms of how we progress this area of research both in terms of theory and practice.
For further information about the forum see http://internationalforum.bmj.com/london/ -
If you are not able to attend this year don’t worry some of the sessions during the event will be streamed live so you can catch up on the action!
Hope to see you at the Symposium.
